We Believe ...

... that students will be successfully prepared for post-secondary education and careers by giving them a focus of programs that will increase motivation and aspirations while also creating opportunities for personal awareness, interests, and development of talents.

... that our school reflects the demographic mix of the community as a whole that will lead to successful skills in collaboration, innovation, and decision making.

... that through partnerships with businesses, community members, and experts outside the high school, including speakers, field experiences, hosts, mentors, internships, and possible apprenticeships, we will provide students with a better perception of what their future has for them.

Our Mission...

HBFRC Mission Statement
Create a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and career readiness, where students’ project-based classes allow opportunities to apply innovative thinking with technology skills and maximize student potential through continuous reflection and refining to become visionary advocates.

The culture provides and reinforces a climate of care, community, family, and teamwork.

Curiosity is the root of our creativity and results in inventiveness, originality, and innovation.

Collaboration at HBFRC includes communication and shared responsibility.

Career readiness for our students includes earning certifications, refining soft skills, and gathering technology and job skills and competencies that are essential for college, career, business, and/or industry.

Project-based classes embrace real world, product-oriented assignments that allow students to find solutions instead of just answers.

Innovative thinking allows students to reinforce their self-sufficiency and skills to take steps to find solutions and resources when the course of action is unclear.

“Maximize potential” indicates that students, with the aid of teachers and peers, will gather the full capacity of knowledge and skills possible through HBFRC to pursue career passions, which includes learning from mistakes instead of being defined by them, in the Institute of Architecture and Engineering Design and the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing

“Continuous reflection and refining” means student achievement is gained through constantly striving for excellence by self-examining and critically evaluating the process and products.

Visionary advocates are able to connect students, community members, business leaders, innovators, and resources while being lifelong learners, responsible citizens, leaders, and innovators themselves.

Future Ready Students

This is Harrison Bay Future Ready Center's 4th year. We are excited to be the home of the Architecture and Engineering Institute and the Institute of Architecture and Construction. We plan to accomplish great things here this year. Our students attend either Central High School or Ooltewah High School half of the day and spend the other half of the day here at HBFRC. Transportation is provided from those schools.

Harrison Bay Future Ready Center houses the 9th and 10th grade institute students in the mornings and the 11th grade institute students and other upperclassmen in Architecture and Engineering, Coding, and Architecture and construction in the afternoon. Our goal is to help prepare students for the future. Please visit each institute's page to learn more about the classes and experiences offered here.
