My name is Mr. Kuehn, principal of Hamilton County High School, "Providing pathways to a successful and Productive Life!

Hamilton County High School is a non-traditional high school program for students that have fallen behind academically in their zoned school, have previously dropped out and now return for a second chance at working for their diploma, or just didn't fit in at their zoned school.  We are not a disciplinary alternative school.  Our students are ages 17-21 years of age and working to receive a regular Hamilton County Diploma.  Many realize that this opportunity provides a "passport to a better future."

This opportunity at a quality education for many of our students come as a second chance at success in high school and in your long-term goals, whether they be a career of military, college, or work force.

With over 36 years of education experience and nineteen plus years in administration, I have always enjoyed my job and still look forward to getting up each day, coming to my second home to help make a difference in the lives of our students. I know if the students meet us half way, the wonderful teachers and staff at Hamilton County High School will not let them slip through the cracks.

I personally will get to learn each student that enters HCHS and will check constantly on attendance and progress in class.
