School Counselor/504 Coordinator

Hello!    My first degree was an M.S. in psychology from Georgia College and State University.  I was a community counselor for 13 years.  I went back to school for my M.Ed. from UTC and have been a school counselor for the past 6 years.

I love working at HCHS and helping to prepare our students to graduate and have a realistic plan for success after high school.  Please come by my office or send an email with any questions you have about:

  • transcripts
  • colleges
  • scholarships
  • GPA

I can also help with any other personal/academic/career information you may need.

I am the 504 Coordinator for HCHS as well.  If you transfer to us with a 504 in place, I can help with that transition.  If you have questions about eligibility please contact me.

For English as a second Language Learners:

English Learners

Tennessee students speak more than 140  languages.  For these many students, English is not the first language they learned to speak, but it is the first language in which they have learned to read and write. ESL classes vary from district to district and from school to school, and are designed to address such challenges.

Title III is the portion of No Child Left Behind that serves English as a Second Language Students. The purpose of the Title III office in the State of Tennessee is to offer support and guidance in meeting these federal and state guidelines set forth to educate this important group of Tennesse students.

View additional information about Title III, including paying for translation services with Title III funds.
